NICMAR Online has announced the opening of admissions for the October 2026 cohort of its Post Graduate Program in Digital Construction: Mastering BIM, aimed at preparing aspiring and working professionals for the rapidly evolving Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) sector. The programme is designed to equip learners with advanced Building Information Modelling (BIM) and digital construction skills that are increasingly becoming essential across the built environment ecosystem.
The fifth cohort comes at a time when the AEC industry is witnessing accelerated digital transformation, with organisations adopting Building Information Modelling, Common Data Environments (CDE), and data-driven project delivery practices to improve collaboration, enhance project efficiency, reduce execution risks, and optimise lifecycle asset management. This growing shift has significantly increased the demand for professionals equipped with both technical expertise and digital construction competencies.
Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Tapash Kumar Ganguli, Director General, NICMAR, said that digital technologies are transforming the way infrastructure and construction projects are conceived, designed, and executed. He noted that Building Information Modelling has emerged as a critical capability for improving collaboration, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making, adding that the programme has been designed to prepare professionals with industry-relevant knowledge, practical exposure, and globally aligned digital construction practices.
The curriculum combines theoretical concepts with practical applications and covers BIM processes, digital construction workflows, ISO 19650 standards, Common Data Environment (CDE), 4D and 5D BIM, project collaboration, and digital project delivery. Delivered through live online sessions by experienced faculty and industry experts, the programme includes software demonstrations, workshops, real-world case studies, practical assignments, and a capstone project that enables participants to address real construction challenges while building a professional portfolio.
To strengthen career readiness, learners will receive training in resume building, interview preparation, LinkedIn optimisation, communication skills, and professional branding. Participants will also benefit from NICMAR Online’s collaboration with BEXEL Manager, gaining hands-on software training and an additional BEXEL Manager Certification to enhance their employability in digital construction roles.
With this programme, NICMAR Online continues its commitment to delivering flexible, industry-oriented education that empowers professionals to upskill while supporting the digital transformation of India’s construction and infrastructure sectors.
