More than 300 students participated in Samsung Solve for Tomorrow’s Design Thinking Workshop at New Era School in Ghaziabad, where they explored how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used to improve India’s growing digital delivery ecosystem.
The workshop is part of Samsung India’s flagship innovation and education programme, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow, which encourages young people aged 14–22 to develop technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges. The programme focuses on four key themes: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Health and Education, Environmental Sustainability, and Sport-Tech.
During the workshop, students were introduced to Samsung’s Design Thinking methodology, a human-centred approach to innovation that emphasises understanding user needs before creating solutions. Through activities such as empathy mapping, stakeholder analysis, and problem-definition exercises, participants learned how to identify challenges and design practical, impactful innovations.
Among the participants were Disha Garg and Rashi Sharma, science students who explored opportunities within the digital delivery sector. Instead of starting with a technological solution, the duo focused on understanding the experiences of customers, delivery partners, and service providers. Based on their findings, they conceptualised an AI-powered application aimed at improving information flow and decision-making throughout the delivery process.
The students said the workshop helped them understand the importance of user-centric innovation and demonstrated how AI can be applied to solve everyday challenges in meaningful ways.
As Samsung marks 30 years in India, the company is expanding the reach of Solve for Tomorrow 2026 through Design Thinking Workshops in 100 cities across the country. The initiative aims to equip young people with the skills needed to identify grassroots problems, develop innovative solutions, and contribute to India’s growing startup and technology ecosystem.
The programme will conclude with the selection of four winning teams, each of which will receive support to further develop their ideas. Collectively, the winners will receive incubation grants worth ₹2 crore, along with mentorship, training, prototyping assistance, and access to innovation networks.
Applications for Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2026 are open until July 3, 2026, providing young innovators an opportunity to transform ideas into scalable solutions addressing real-world challenges through technology and innovation.
