South Korea’s Ministry of Education, in partnership with the National Institute for International Education, has launched a year-round online promotion hub to support international student recruitment.
The initiative includes a permanent digital platform and a series of live admissions webinars, replacing earlier short-term online education fairs with a continuous outreach model. The hub is integrated into a government-run portal established in 2012, which already attracts around 12 million visits annually.
The platform provides centralised access to information on universities, scholarships, visa processes, and employment opportunities in South Korea. It also supports online applications and ongoing engagement between institutions and prospective students.
Officials say the move is aimed at improving accessibility and transparency for international applicants, allowing them to explore study options at any time rather than during limited recruitment windows. Universities and local governments are expected to benefit from sustained global visibility and more direct communication with potential students.
The initiative reflects a broader strategy to strengthen South Korea’s position as a competitive destination in the global higher education market.
