Arena Animation Hosts Bengaluru Alumni Meet Celebrating 30 Years of Creative Excellence

The gathering featured distinguished alumni who are now making significant contributions across top studios and organizations

Arena Animation, a leading training institute in animation, gaming, visual effects, and digital media, recently hosted a vibrant Alumni Meet in Bengaluru to commemorate three decades of its contribution to India’s AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality) sector. The event brought together over 100 alumni, industry professionals, and aspiring creators, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and celebrating the achievements of its growing creative community.

The gathering featured distinguished alumni who are now making significant contributions across top studios and organizations. Among those उपस्थित were Harish Vishwakarma, Technology Director at 88 Pictures; Balaji NG, Lead UI Designer at Dentsu; Alok Kumar, Director – UI/UX at Myntra; Prashanth, Creature TD at DNEG; and Shreya Menon from Rockstar Games. Their presence highlighted the strong industry footprint of Arena Animation graduates across diverse creative domains.

The Bengaluru meet marked the launch of a broader alumni engagement initiative that Arena Animation plans to roll out nationwide. Through similar events in metro and non-metro cities, the institute aims to strengthen its alumni network, recognize professional achievements, and create opportunities for collaboration and mentorship within the creative ecosystem.

A key highlight of the event was the introduction of Arena Animation Originals, an IP creation initiative designed to encourage students and alumni to conceptualize and develop original content. The platform was unveiled by Rituparna Sarkar, Founder and Creative Director of Visual Sarkarsam. This initiative aligns with the rising demand for homegrown intellectual property in animation and VFX, while also leveraging emerging technologies such as virtual production and digital content creation.

Speaking at the event, Shajan Samuel, Senior Vice President and National Sales Head at Arena Animation, emphasized the importance of community and innovation. He noted that the institute’s 30-year milestone reflects not only its legacy but also the strength of its industry network and commitment to nurturing future talent.

The event also facilitated insightful discussions on evolving career paths, emerging technologies, and industry expectations. Alumni shared real-world experiences and guidance, offering valuable perspectives to aspiring professionals navigating a competitive creative landscape.
