Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has invited applications for the third batch of its five-year Integrated MBA (IMBA) programme for the academic year 2026–27. The programme is designed for students who wish to pursue management education immediately after Class 12 while developing expertise in analytics, data science, and artificial intelligence.
The IMBA programme uniquely combines a BBA in Analytics (Honours) with an MBA in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (DS&AI), creating an academic pathway that integrates business management with advanced technological learning. The programme aims to prepare students for leadership roles in a rapidly evolving, data-driven business environment.
One of the key highlights of the programme is its flexible academic structure with multiple exit options. Students completing three years will receive a Bachelor of Business Administration in Analytics (BBA Analytics). After four years, students will earn a BBA in Analytics (Honours), while successful completion of the five-year curriculum will lead to the award of an Integrated MBA in Data Science & AI (IMBA). To continue into the final two years of the programme, students must secure a minimum CGPA of 5.00 out of 10 by the end of the third year.
The curriculum blends management principles with emerging technologies and includes courses focused on business applications of artificial intelligence and data science across multiple domains. Students will also benefit from industry exposure through a semester-long internship programme. In addition, the institute offers access to the IIT Mandi incubation ecosystem, encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation among students. A year-long sabbatical option is also available for holistic development and entrepreneurial pursuits.
For eligibility, applicants must have obtained the minimum NTA score in JEE (Main) 2026 Paper-1 required to qualify for JEE (Advanced) 2026. Candidates should have studied Mathematics and English at the Class 12 level and secured at least 75% marks in Class 12 examinations, with a relaxation to 65% for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Admissions will be based on a composite score with 70% weightage to the JEE (Main) 2026 Paper-1 score and 30% weightage to the personal interview. The intake for 2026–27 has been increased to 80 seats, including 20% female-only supernumerary seats.
