IIHMR University Revamps MBA (Development Management) Programme Aligned with Viksit Bharat @2047 Vision

The revamped programme has been developed following extensive consultations with industry leaders, development professionals, policymakers, academicians, alumni, and employers

IIHMR University, Jaipur has announced a major redesign of its flagship MBA (Development Management) programme, aligning it with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 and the evolving needs of the development, sustainability, and social impact sectors.

The revamped programme has been developed following extensive consultations with industry leaders, development professionals, policymakers, academicians, alumni, and employers. The initiative aims to create a future-ready curriculum that equips students with the skills, knowledge, and leadership capabilities needed to address complex social and developmental challenges.

Building on its four-decade legacy in healthcare and social sector management education, IIHMR University has introduced a curriculum that combines emerging industry trends, experiential learning, innovative teaching methods, and outcome-based education. The redesigned programme has also incorporated inputs from domain experts and global consulting firms to ensure relevance to changing workforce requirements and future employment opportunities.

Starting with the 2026–28 batch, students will have the opportunity to pursue specialised pathways in CSR and ESG Management, Sustainable Business Management, and Livelihood and Entrepreneurship Development. These focus areas are intended to prepare graduates for leadership roles across development organisations, social enterprises, sustainability initiatives, and public policy institutions.

According to the university, the revised programme seeks to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world developmental challenges while fostering innovation, social responsibility, and inclusive growth.

Speaking on the announcement, Dr. P. R. Sodani, President of IIHMR University, said the institution believes management education should serve as a catalyst for nation-building. He noted that the reimagined programme is designed to nurture socially conscious and purpose-driven leaders capable of contributing to India’s development goals and addressing emerging societal challenges.

The initiative reflects a growing trend among higher education institutions to redesign management programmes around sustainability, social impact, and public value creation. By integrating specialised knowledge with practical exposure, IIHMR University aims to prepare a new generation of professionals capable of driving sustainable development and meaningful change in India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.
