The Continuing Education Programme (CEP) at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has announced admissions for Batch 03 of its Executive Programme in Healthcare for Industry 5.0, aimed at equipping professionals with the skills needed to navigate the rapidly evolving, technology-driven healthcare ecosystem.
Applications for the six-month programme will remain open until June 30, 2026, while classes are scheduled to commence on August 22, 2026. The programme will be delivered through live online Direct-to-Device sessions every Saturday from 4 pm to 6 pm, enabling working professionals to participate without disrupting their careers.
The launch comes amid significant growth in India’s digital healthcare sector. According to industry estimates, the country’s digital health market was valued at USD 14.50 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach USD 106.97 billion by 2033, expanding at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 25.12 per cent between 2025 and 2033. Government initiatives such as the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, along with increasing adoption of telemedicine, electronic health records, and technology-enabled healthcare services, are driving this transformation.
The programme curriculum has been designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare innovation and Industry 5.0 technologies. Key areas of study include healthcare fundamentals, operations management, pharmaceuticals and drug delivery systems, big data analytics, Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 applications, regulatory approvals, risk management, and a capstone project.
Participants will also gain exposure to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, robotics, cobotics, augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, additive manufacturing, and blockchain, with a focus on their applications in modern healthcare systems.
“Healthcare can no longer look at technology as an external layer. The next shift will come from professionals who can combine clinical understanding, engineering thinking and intelligent systems to improve patient outcomes, safety and efficiency. Industry 5.0 is about placing human expertise at the centre of this transformation,” said Prof. Dinesh Kalyanasundaram, Programme Coordinator and Associate Professor at the Centre for Biomedical Engineering, IIT Delhi.
The programme is open to graduates from science, engineering, medical, pharmacy, nursing, and allied healthcare disciplines.
