The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur organised a two-day book exhibition on October 27 and 28, 2026, featuring approximately 15,000 titles from more than 20 national and international publishers and book distributors. The initiative aims to promote reading, continuous learning and intellectual engagement among the institute’s academic community.
The exhibition brought together faculty members, research scholars, staff and students, offering access to a wide range of books, including recent publications from the past two years. Participating publishers include Cambridge University Press, SAGE Publications, Taylor & Francis, Routledge, Pearson, Pan Macmillan India, Cengage Learning and Orient BlackSwan, among others.
The collection spans subjects such as management, humanities, psychology, Hindi and English literature, biographies of eminent personalities, and the culture and heritage of Uttarakhand. Visitors can explore books relevant to their academic interests and recommend titles for inclusion in the institute’s library.
The exhibition also seeks to encourage students and research scholars to cultivate regular reading habits alongside their use of digital resources. According to the institute, sustained engagement with printed books can support concentration, reflection and intellectual curiosity, which are important for learning and research.
Prof. Neeraj Dwivedi, Director of IIM Kashipur, highlighted the importance of strengthening institutional library collections. He encouraged faculty members and students to browse the exhibition and recommend new titles for the institute’s library.
“The library is the heart of an academic institution, and enriching its collection is essential to the progress of any institution,” Dwivedi said, adding that reading nurtures deeper thinking, curiosity and lifelong learning.
Established in 2011 in Uttarakhand, IIM Kashipur focuses on management education, research and executive development. The exhibition reflects the institute’s efforts to strengthen a culture of reading and research within its academic community.
