The Nation First Policy Research and Change Foundation (NFPRC) organised a workshop for Parliamentarians and Legislators at Gulmohar Hall, India Habitat Centre, bringing together Members of Parliament, MLAs, and policy experts to discuss healthcare transformation, education reform, and digital governance strategies.
The workshop focused on strengthening governance delivery through evidence-based policymaking and improving constituency-level outcomes through better implementation frameworks.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Tarun Chugh, Chairperson of NFPRC Foundation, stressed the importance of convergence-driven governance and citizen-centric policymaking in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. He highlighted the role of Ayushman Bharat, education reforms under NEP 2020, and digital communication strategies in accelerating inclusive development.
Dr. C. N. Manjunath, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, delivered a session on “Ayushman Bharat: Redesigning India’s Healthcare Foundations.” He discussed how PM-JAY and Health & Wellness Centres are expanding healthcare access and strengthening primary healthcare systems across the country. The session also explored digital health infrastructure under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), claim settlement mechanisms, and district-level implementation challenges.
Shri Saurabh Chopra, Senior Director at Central Square Foundation, spoke on “Strengthening India’s Education Framework: Global Lessons & NEP 2020.” Discussions focused on competency-based education, vocational integration, mother tongue-based learning, and improving institutional delivery through reforms under the National Education Policy.
A video message by Shri Aashish Chandorkar, Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of India to WTO, Geneva, highlighted India’s Covid-19 response through strong leadership, digital platforms like CoWIN, and one of the world’s largest vaccination drives.
Dr. Sambit Patra, Hon’ble MP, Lok Sabha, conducted a session on media engagement for legislators. He emphasised the importance of strategic communication, digital outreach, misinformation response mechanisms, and regional media engagement in strengthening public trust and citizen participation.
The workshop concluded with discussions on legislative effectiveness, digital governance, and collaborative policymaking to support the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
