BIMTECH to Host TEDxBIMTECH 2026 on Future of Humanity, Technology and Innovation

The event will focus on emerging ideas around human well-being, technological growth and innovation

Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) will host TEDxBIMTECH on February 7, 2026, bringing together speakers from diverse fields to explore the future of humanity, technology and innovation under the theme Decoding Tomorrow.

The event will focus on emerging ideas around human well-being, technological growth and innovation, aligning with TED’s global philosophy of “ideas worth spreading”. According to the organisers, the day-long programme will feature nine speakers whose journeys span corporate leadership, sports, culture, sustainability and wellness.

Among the speakers announced are Vijay Ranjan Singh, head of human resources at LG Electronics India; professional wrestler Sarika Malik; Buland Himalay, known for his work in Himalayan conservation and storytelling; and Annu Grover, founder and chief executive officer of Nurturing Green and a BIMTECH alumnus.

Speaking about the event, Prabina Rajib, director of BIMTECH, said the institution views TEDx as a platform to encourage dialogue and collaboration around ideas that can drive positive change. She added that the event aligns with BIMTECH’s vision of nurturing socially conscious and future-ready leaders by bringing together diverse perspectives and transformative thinking.

BIMTECH offers postgraduate programmes including PGDM, PGDM in international business, insurance business management and retail management, along with online management programmes and fellow-level research courses. The institute is supported by an alumni network of over 8,000 professionals across sectors and geographies.

Recently, BIMTECH was selected as a PRME Champion Institute (2026–27) by the United Nations Global Compact, placing it among 50 institutions worldwide recognised for advancing responsible management education. The designation reflects the institute’s sustained focus on ethics, sustainability and SDG-aligned education, including achievements such as its student team winning the PRME Global Forum in New York.

As a PRME Champion, BIMTECH is expected to play a leading role in promoting responsible pedagogy, industry–academia collaboration and impact-driven management education, contributing to global conversations on the future of business and leadership.
