Galgotias University leads global dialogue on student-centric teaching at QS India Summit

At the QS India Summit in Goa, Galgotias University chaired a high-level international roundtable on rethinking classroom teaching, with global university leaders calling for more adaptive, student-driven learning models

Galgotias University, based in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, led a high-level Presidential Roundtable at the QS India Summit in Goa, bringing together Presidents, Chancellors and Vice Chancellors from universities across the world to deliberate on the future of student-centric teaching.

The roundtable focused on reimagining classroom practices to enable deeper student agency, engagement and relevance amid rapid changes in the global higher education ecosystem. The discussions reflected a shared view that universities must move beyond traditional, syllabus-driven approaches and instead design learning environments that are adaptive, participatory and future-oriented.

The session was chaired by Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, and co-chaired by Richard James, an internationally recognised expert in higher education. Participants examined how classroom teaching can evolve to meet changing learner expectations, the growing influence of emerging technologies and the increasing need for graduates to demonstrate critical thinking, creativity and leadership.

Speakers shared global perspectives on pedagogy, institutional responsibility and the role of universities in preparing resilient and socially responsive graduates.

Addressing the roundtable, Dhruv Galgotia said that “meaningful transformation in higher education begins inside the classroom,” adding that Galgotias University’s academic vision is anchored in its G-SCALE approach, which emphasises student empowerment, active learning and the development of future-ready competencies aligned with global realities.

Galgotias University’s leadership role at the QS India Summit underscores its commitment to contributing to international academic discourse and shaping progressive teaching and learning practices. The university continues to engage with global higher education leaders to influence conversations on the future direction of universities in India and beyond.
