Karnataka Govt, NuernbergMesse India to Co-Locate Embedded World India with Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026

The joint event will be held from November 17 to 19, 2026, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC)

In a significant move to strengthen India’s position in the global embedded systems and semiconductor ecosystem, the Government of Karnataka has partnered with NuernbergMesse India to co-locate embedded world India with the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2026. The joint event will be held from November 17 to 19, 2026, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).

The collaboration aims to create a unified platform bringing together global hardware innovators and India’s rapidly expanding digital technology ecosystem. It will showcase advancements in embedded technologies, semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered devices, and Internet of Things (IoT) innovations.

India’s embedded systems market is witnessing rapid growth, driven by increasing demand in sectors such as smart manufacturing, electric mobility, telecommunications, healthcare, and connected devices. Government initiatives, including the India Semiconductor Mission and production-linked incentive schemes, have attracted over USD 21 billion in semiconductor investments. The market is projected to grow from USD 34.3 billion in 2023 to more than USD 100 billion by 2032.

Karnataka plays a pivotal role in this growth, contributing nearly 10 percent of India’s electronics output and serving as the country’s largest semiconductor design hub. The state houses over 100 fabless chip design firms and accounts for around 40 percent of India’s electronic design output.

Speaking on the collaboration, IT and Biotechnology Minister Priyank Kharge highlighted Karnataka’s leadership in the semiconductor ecosystem and Bengaluru’s status as a global innovation hub. He noted that the partnership would enable deeper international collaborations and further strengthen the state’s position in advanced technology sectors.

Dr. N. Manjula, Secretary, Department of Electronics, IT, Biotechnology, and Science & Technology, emphasized that the initiative would provide startups, MSMEs, and research institutions opportunities to engage directly with global technology leaders.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS) and NuernbergMesse India, formalizing the collaboration.

BTS 2026 is expected to attract over 1,800 exhibitors, 25,000 delegates, 1,000 startups, and more than 60,000 visitors from over 75 countries. The event will span key sectors including deep tech, semiconductors, electric mobility, biotechnology, and digital infrastructure.

The co-location marks a major step in integrating global hardware innovation with India’s fast-growing technology ecosystem, further cementing Bengaluru’s position as a leading centre for next-generation electronics and semiconductor innovation.
