The Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) has invited applications for the Ramanujan Fellowship, a national programme aimed at encouraging outstanding Indian researchers and scientists working overseas to pursue advanced research careers in India.
The fellowship is designed for researchers with a strong academic and research track record and demonstrated potential to contribute significantly to India’s scientific and technological ecosystem. It seeks to strengthen the country’s research capacity by facilitating the return of highly skilled Indian talent from abroad.
According to ANRF, nominations for the Ramanujan Fellowship are open throughout the year. Applications submitted up to March 1 and September 1 each year will be taken up for evaluation, with selections processed twice annually following due assessment.
The fellowship supports independent research across scientific and technological domains and is targeted at early- to mid-career researchers seeking to establish themselves at Indian institutions.
