Reliance Foundation has announced the results of its Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarships for the 2025–26 academic year, selecting 5,100 students from across India. The announcement coincides with the birth anniversary of Reliance founder Dhirubhai Ambani.
The selected cohort includes 5,000 undergraduate and 100 postgraduate students. Undergraduate scholars will receive financial support of up to ₹2 lakh, while postgraduate scholars are eligible for grants of up to ₹6 lakh. The current cohort forms part of Reliance Foundation’s 2022 commitment to award 50,000 scholarships over a 10-year period.
According to the Foundation, the 2025–26 selection process was highly competitive, with more than 1.25 lakh applications received from students representing 15,544 institutions. Selected scholars come from 28 states and four Union Territories, reflecting the programme’s national reach.
Reliance Foundation stated that its scholarship programme focuses on merit-cum-means, with 83 per cent of this year’s scholars coming from households with an annual income below ₹2.5 lakh. Among undergraduate scholars, 97 per cent scored above 90 per cent in their Class XII examinations. The cohort also reflects gender balance, with 48 per cent female and 52 per cent male students, and includes 146 scholars with disabilities.
The 100 postgraduate scholars selected this year are pursuing advanced studies in areas such as artificial intelligence, computer science, renewable energy and life sciences. In addition to financial assistance, scholars gain access to mentoring, leadership development programmes and a global alumni network.
Reliance Foundation has awarded 33,471 scholarships to date. The Foundation said former scholars have gone on to secure global placements, contribute to research and take up leadership roles across sectors .
