In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and its vision to position India as a global hub for knowledge and research, IIHMR University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
The partnership aims to deepen international cooperation in health, medicine, and advanced research, opening pathways for joint academic initiatives between the two institutions. Under the MoU, the universities will collaborate on joint research projects, faculty exchange programmes, postgraduate student mobility, certificate courses, and a series of academic engagements designed to strengthen global learning and innovation.
Speaking about the collaboration, Dr. P. R. Sodani, President, IIHMR University, said, “At IIHMR, we are committed to advancing global academic partnerships that enrich learning experiences and promote cross-institutional collaboration. This association with the University of Manchester will enable our students and faculty to engage with global best practices in research, modern teaching technologies, and health systems.”
As part of the partnership, the two institutions will jointly organise short-term training programmes, research workshops, seminars, conferences, and teaching initiatives, further expanding opportunities for knowledge exchange and capacity building.
The collaboration marks a significant step in enhancing India’s international academic footprint in public health, healthcare management and medical research.
