Gurugram, November 14, 2025: Lotus Petal Senior Secondary School hosted TEDx Lotus Petal 2025 on Friday, bringing together students, educators and changemakers under the theme “The Road Not Taken.” The independently organised event featured reflections on personal transformation, resilience and the power of choosing unconventional paths.
Led entirely by students—from stage design to production—the event drew an audience of over 100 participants and created a platform for storytelling and self-discovery. Thirteen speakers shared experiences that connected deeply with attendees.
Among them, Dr. Manmit Kumarr spoke about overcoming fear to become a global speaker and healer, urging students to “just show up and take the next step.” Lieutenant Tanuja Sodhi, one of the first women officers in the Indian Navy and now an Ironman triathlete, discussed rebuilding life through resilience and discipline. Dr. Aman Mittal of LPU highlighted the importance of adapting to change and maintaining balance for long-term growth. Speakers including Pooja Udayan, Aarushi Gambhir and Ghan Shyam shared messages on empowerment, inclusion and reinvention.
The stage design featured illuminated, intersecting paths symbolising how individual choices shape life journeys. Participants were also invited to write personal reflections on “Path Cards,” sharing moments when they pursued a road less travelled.
“Every story today was a quiet revolution, a reminder that courage isn’t about taking the loudest road, but the truest one,” said Shobhna Chauhan, Event Organizer and Academician. “At Lotus Petal, every story begins with courage to question, to dream, to transform,” added Srividya Sridhar, Principal of Lotus Petal Senior Secondary School.
Founded in 2011, the Lotus Petal Foundation works across education, nutrition and livelihood to support underserved children in Gurugram. The event reflected the organisation’s broader mission of enabling access, equity and opportunity.
