Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), through its subsidiary Reliance Intelligence Limited, has announced a strategic partnership with Google to accelerate Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption across India. The collaboration aims to expand AI access for consumers, enterprises, and developers, aligning with Reliance’s “AI for All” vision.
Under the agreement, Jio users will receive free access to Google’s AI Pro plan for 18 months, a package valued at ₹35,100 per user. The offer includes access to Google Gemini 2.5 Pro, AI-powered image and video generation tools, 2 TB of cloud storage, and Notebook LM for research and learning. The rollout will begin with Jio users aged 18–25 on unlimited 5G plans, before expanding to all Jio customers via the MyJio app.
The companies also announced plans to strengthen India’s AI infrastructure. Reliance Intelligence will partner with Google Cloud to expand access to advanced AI hardware accelerators such as Tensor Processing Units (TPUs). This initiative aims to support Indian organizations in training and deploying large-scale AI models, contributing to national efforts to build sovereign, clean-energy-powered computing infrastructure.
Additionally, Reliance Intelligence will become a strategic go-to-market partner for Google Cloud in promoting Gemini Enterprise, a new agentic AI platform for businesses. The partnership will focus on driving AI adoption across sectors by enabling organizations to integrate AI tools into daily workflows. Reliance Intelligence will also develop pre-built enterprise AI agents within the Gemini ecosystem.
Mukesh D. Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, said the collaboration would help “make intelligence services accessible to 1.45 billion Indians,” adding that the goal is to make India “AI-empowered” rather than merely AI-enabled.
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, described Reliance as a longstanding partner in India’s digital transformation. “Now, we are bringing this collaboration into the AI era. Today’s announcement will put Google’s cutting-edge AI tools in the hands of consumers, businesses, and developers across India,” he said.
The partnership marks a significant expansion of Reliance and Google’s long-term collaboration, which previously focused on internet access and affordable smartphones, now extending into the AI domain.
